What is PCBA and what is the difference between PCB and PCBA?

What is PCB?

PCB = printed circuit board; Chinese name is printed circuit board, also known as printed circuit board, is an important electronic component, the support of electronic components, and the carrier of electrical connection of electronic components. Because it is made by electronic printing, it is called "printed" circuit board.

What is PCBA?

PCBA = assembly of PCB. Various electronic devices are assembled on the circuit board through surface packaging technology. The next step is box assembly, which is to assemble the assembled PCB with the shell, etc. to form a finished product. That is to say, the PCB blank board goes through the SMT mounting and then the DIP plug-in process, referred to as PCBA. This is a commonly used writing method in China, while the standard writing method in Europe and the United States is PCB'A, which is added with an oblique point. PCBA is a PCB with a patch.

What is the difference between PCB and PCBA?

PCB refers to the circuit board, while PCBA refers to the circuit board plug-in assembly, SMT process.

One is a finished board and the other is a bare board

PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is called "printed circuit board", which is made of epoxy glass resin material. It is divided into 4, 6, and 8-layer boards according to the number of signal layers. 4 and 6-layer boards are the most common. Chips and other patch components are attached to the PCB.

PCBA may be understood as a finished circuit board, that is, PCBA can only be considered after all the processes on the circuit board are completed.

PCBA=Printed Cirruit Board + Assembly.

That is to say, the PCB blank board goes through the entire process of SMT mounting and then DIP plug-in, referred to as PCBA.

PCB (Printed Circuie Board) is the abbreviation of printed circuit board. Usually, the conductive pattern made of printed circuits, printed components or a combination of the two on the insulating material according to the predetermined design is called a printed circuit. The conductive pattern that provides electrical connection between components on the insulating substrate is called a printed circuit. In this way, the finished board of printed circuits or printed circuits is called a printed circuit board, also known as a printed board or printed circuit board.

A standard PCB has no parts on it and is often referred to as a "Printed Wiring Board (PWB)".
